Marking Scheme.
Each correct answer is awarded 1 mark, and each incorrect answer attracts a deduction of 0.25 marks. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions.
 

Understand the Syllabus

English.
The English section will test your reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary and analytical skills. The questions will be based on passages from fiction and non-fiction books. You will also have to answer questions on jumbled paragraphs, fill in the blanks, sentence correction and other similar topics.
To score well in this section, you must first improve your reading speed and accuracy. You can do this by reading a variety of books, newspapers and magazines. It is also important to work on your vocabulary by learning new words every day. For grammar, you should focus on understanding the various rules and practicing as many questions as possible. GK.
