About the DU LLB Entrance Exam


» Exam Pattern
The DU LLB entrance exam pattern is as follows:
The test will be of objective type, multiple choice questions.
It will have four sections – English Language, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude and Reasoning, and Elementary Mathematics.
Each section will have 50 questions, making the total number of questions to be 200.
Candidates will be given two hours and 30 minutes to attempt all the questions.
There will be negative marking in the exam and one-fourth mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
The question paper will be bilingual i.e., it will be available in both Hindi and English languages.

» Eligibility Criteria
To appear for the DU LLB entrance exam, candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
They must have completed their graduation or equivalent degree from a recognised university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Candidates who are appearing for their final year exams are also eligible to apply for the exam. However, they need to produce proof of having completed their graduation before taking admission to any law college or institute.
The age limit for candidates is 20 years (22 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates). There is no upper age limit for appearing in the DU LLB entrance exam.

The DU LLB entrance exam syllabus is as follows:
English Language – This section will test the candidate’s proficiency in English through questions on grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and verbal ability.
General Knowledge – The questions in this section will be based on current affairs, Indian history, geography, economics, politics and science.
