The curriculum in NLUs is intensive, and the students are required to undertake fieldwork, internships, and research projects to supplement their classroom lectures. Apart from these criteria, NLUs conduct an entrance examination called the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), which assesses the candidate's ability in areas such as English language, legal reasoning, and general knowledge.
